Samsung has submitted a few additional trademark applications relating to slidable devices or flexible display technologies.

Samsung Display has submitted two new applications to KIPRIS (Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service), which secure the names "Slidable Flex Solo" and "Slidable Flex Duet."

Earlier this year, Samsung displayed slidable tablet designs during Display Week; one prototype was provisionally dubbed "Slidable Wide."

This idea may be connected to the new Slidable Flex Duet trademark, but it's tough to foresee how Samsung's flexible display portfolio will alter and develop over the next few years.

The Slidable Wide prototype, in practise, had a flexible display hidden inside a gadget that could slide out from its edges to increase the viewing area.
